The Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Mr. Ahmed Attaf, received on Sunday a phone call from his brother the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the brotherly Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi who congratulated him on his appointment as head of the Algerian diplomacy. The two ministers exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadhan.

This phone conversation was an opportunity to review the bilateral relations and the prospects for their strengthening. The two ministers expressed their satisfaction with the progress made in the implementation of the guidelines of the leaders of the two countries, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his brother King Abdullah II Ben Al-Hussein, particularly with regard to the launch of a direct airline Algiers-Amman and the activation of the economic cooperation committee in addition to strengthening exchanges between economic operators on both sides. They also agreed on the need to schedule preparatory meetings in anticipation of upcoming bilateral events.

The two ministers also discussed several issues related to the priorities of joint Arab action including the Palestinian cause and the challenges it faces in addition to efforts to unify the Arab ranks and the restoration of the Syrian Arab Republic to its rightful place at the regional and international levels.
