Ambassador Zemede Tekle, Commissioner of Culture and Sports stated that preparations to enthusiastically celebrate the 32nd anniversary of Independence Day have been finalized.
This year’s Independence Day celebration is being conducted under the theme “Heroic Feat Anchored on Cohesive Rank”, Ambassador Zemede stated.
Amb. Zemede further indicated that as part of the Independence Day Celebrations a tour of the Cup of Independence will kick off tomorrow from Nakfa town, Northern Red Sea Region and travelling around the six regions until its final destination on May 24, here in the capital.
He further noted that this year’s Independence Day celebrations will include various cultural and artistic programs, communal gatherings, calisthenics show, and exhibitions culminating in the official ceremony that will be held at Asmara Stadium.
