Four Malagasy Leaders to Attend 2023 Community Engagement Exchange Program

Four outstanding Malagasy leaders have been selected for the second cohort of the Community Engagement Exchange (CEE) program.  Johanna Ravomanana, Ny Andraina Andriamanantena, and Sedra Rakotovao were selected for the CEE, while Ketakandriana Rafitoson was selected as a CEE Specialist Mentor. After completion of their three-month virtual orientation, the team will travel to the U.S. to complete a three-month practicum where they will work with nonprofit organizations, private entities, and government offices across the United States on civil society-related initiatives.

The CEE program is a year-long U.S. government-funded professional exchange designed for civil society actors and influencers aged 21-28 in over 100 countries. Participants work in five broad themes: Civic Dialogue and Peace Building, Open and Participatory Government, Women and Gender Issues, Resilience and Sustainable Development, and Youth Engagement.  The exchange program is designed to harness the potential of emerging and influential leaders by providing opportunities to build networks and long-term relationships.

Congratulations to these dynamic young leaders on their selection to the very competitive CEE program!
