On Monday (20/2), Indonesian Ambassador Sunarko received an introductory visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Sudan, Y.M. Namgung Hwan at the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum.
Ambassador Sunarko warmly welcomed Ambassador Namgung Hwan’s visit and congratulated the submission of his Credentials as Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Sudan to The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of the Sudan as well as congratulations on his new assignment as Ambassador.
On this occasion, Ambassador Namgung Hwan expressed his gratitude to the Indonesian Ambassador for the warm welcome and acceptance of the said courtesy call. The visit was also used by Ambassador Namgung Hwan to introduce himself as the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Sudan accredited to Eritera and to strengthen and strengthen networks and exchange experiences.
Furthermore, Ambassador Sunarko and Ambassador Namgung Hwan shared their views on the opportunities and challenges of implementing relations and cooperation in accredited countries and shared views regarding the importance and strength of relations and cooperation between Indonesia and the Republic of Korea at the bilateral, regional and international levels.
The opportunity also discussed the possibilities and opportunities to encourage joint efforts while contributing to improving RI-ROK relations, as well as enhancing cooperative relations between the Indonesian Embassy and the Republic of Korea Embassy in Khartoum which have been going well so far, including during the Indonesia’s chairmanship in ASEAN, MIKTA in 2023 and at the Asian Ambassador Club in Khartoum forum.
Ambassador Sunarko and Ambassador Namgung Hwan also hoped that the good cooperation that had been fostered so far could be continued and improved, especially during their assignment as Ambassadors in Sudan.
