Iran Foreign Minister lauds Mauritania efforts to establish peace in sub-Saharan Africa

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian appreciated the initiative and efforts made by the President of Mauritania to establish peace, stability and fight against terrorism in the sub-Saharan Africa.

Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Mohamed Ould Ghazouani in Nouakchott.

He exchanged views on developing bilateral relations in technological, cultural, economic, commercial and regional and international fields.

The two sides also reviewed important regional issues, including supporting the Palestinian people and cause, and developing relations between Islamic countries, and holding a meeting of foreign ministers in Nouakchott.

Meanwhile, Ghazouani described Tehran- Nouakchott ties as historical.

Referring Iran’s role in fighting terrorism and emphasizing the industrial, scientific and technological achievements in Iran, he elaborated on the development of relations between the two countries.
