Japan: Message of condolences from Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa following the damages caused by the flood and landslide disaster in the Republic of Mozambique

On March 24, Mr. HAYASHI Yoshimasa, Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered the following message of condolences to H.E. Ms. Verónica Nataniel MACAMO Dlhovo, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Mozambique, following serious damage from the flood and landslide disaster caused by cyclones in the Republic of Mozambique in early March to mid March 2023.

“ I am deeply saddened to learn that many precious lives ware lost in the Republic of Mozambique due to flooding and landslides caused by the torrential rains that followed Tropical Cyclone Freddy. I pray for the repose of the souls of the victims and extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families. I also pray for the swift recovery of those that have been injured and look forward to the prompt restoration of the affected areas.”
