Kenya: Working together to streamline Labour Market for Human Resource for Health

Today, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Health’s State Department for Public Health and Professional Standards, Dr. Josephine Mburu, met with her counterpart, the Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection’s State Department for Labour and Skills Development, Mr. Geoffrey Kaituko, to discuss the streamlining of the labor market for Human Resources for Health.

During the meeting, Dr. Mburu emphasized that youth employment is a key priority of the government and highlighted the need for the two state departments to work closely together to ensure a better working environment for Kenyan youth, both locally and internationally. This collaboration is expected to enhance opportunities for Kenyan youth to develop their skills, gain experience, and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
