Sequel to a distress call from Taraba State Emergency Management Agency ( TSEMA) of a reported attack by Herdsmen in Kuteb, Fikyu, Kwesati, and Kpambo Villages/Settlements in Ussa, Takum and Yangtu Development Area of Taraba State.
The incident occurred on the 5th of April, 2023.
Information gathered that most of the herdsmen have set up camps along Takum – Bisaula road shooting randomly at people.
They ambushed and matched so many person’s to death. Houses and Worship Centers were burnt down as well.
The following are the damages caused by the herdsmen attack.
Total number of person’s killed – 75
Estimated number of houses burnt down – 102
Various degrees of injuries were recorded
Some of the displaced persons are currently living in host communities with their families and relatives, while some are in secured areas within the LGA
