Minister of Foreign Affairs Nancy Tembo has hailed the support Japan renders to Malawi, saying their bilateral relations date back to 1964.

The Minister said Ambassador Yoichi Oya comes with vast knowledge, having worked at the Japanese Embassy in Malawi from 2008-2010. She cited construction of Blantyre-Limbe dual carriageway, Nalikule TTC, and expansion of power supply at Tedzani as some projects funded by Japan.
