Philippines Ambassador Presents Credentials to Namibian President

Philippine Ambassador Noralyn Jubaira Baja presented her credentials to Namibian President Hage Geingob accrediting her as the Philippines’ non-resident envoy to Namibia.

The ceremony took place on 13 April 2023 at the State House in Windhoek, Namibia. She was accompanied by Attaché and Cultural Officer Vivian Barrera.

Ambassador Baja conveyed to President Geingob the warm greetings of the Government and people of the Philippines, adding that the Philippines aims to deepen its engagement with Namibia particularly in economic relations.

The Ambassador was briefly interviewed by the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) after the ceremony.

A total of 10 Ambassadors presented their credentials to the Namibian President, of which 6 are non-resident Ambassadors based in Pretoria.

The Philippines and Namibia established diplomatic relations on 17 May 1996.
