Taking advantage of the momentum of Ramadan 1444 H, Ambassador Sunarko on Monday (3/4) visited the Secretariat of the Special Branch of Nahdlatul Ulama Sudan in Arkaweet, Khartoum.
The visit aims to strengthen friendship and dialogue with the Sudanese PCINU administrators.
In his remarks Ambassador Sunarko appreciated and continued to support the positive activities of PCINU Sudan, especially in the socio-religious field.
“PCINU’s active role and contribution in spreading and advancing moderate Islamic teachings and the spirit of nationalism among Indonesian people in Sudan needs to be maintained and improved,” said the Ambassador.
In another part, the Ambassador also motivated to preserve the spirit of 1 century NU, including fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and empowering the community’s economy.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Sudanese PCINU Tanfdiziyah, Ustad Achmad Fauzi, LL.B. warmly welcomed Ambassador Sunarko’s visit to the PCINU secretariat as a form of the Indonesian Embassy in Khartoum’s concern and concern for the Indonesian people in Sudan.
The dialogue also discussed various priority programs of PCINU Sudan for 2023, ending with breaking the fast together and praying Maghrib in congregation.
