During 6-10 December 2022, the Thai Trade Office in Abuja in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy in Abuja accompanied an extensive Nigerian agri-business delegation to attend the Thailand Tractor&Agri-Machinery Show 2022 (ThaiTAM) in Nakhon Pathom Province in Thailand. The event is hosted on an annual basis by Kasetsart University, Department of International Trade Promotion of Thailand and the Federation of Thai Industries. The event showcases the latest range of top quality Agri-machinery and tractors and related products made and assembled in Thailand.

The event has always been very well received by Nigerian business communities and this year was no different, as Thai Agri-machinery products boasts high quality for its value over the competitors. The products are highly suitable for what Nigeria needs for a comprehensive agricultural drive to make it an agricultural powerhouse in Africa. During the event, the Nigerian business owners met with many Thai companies and potential business partners through business matching sessions. They enjoyed roaming around the fair and browsing through extensive products that would enhance their business capacities and capabilities which would undoubtedly increase Nigeria’s potential as a future agriculture hub for Africa.

The event was timely as Thailand and Nigeria look to resume and boost the all-important trade relations post Covid-19 pandemic. The Royal Thai Embassy and the Thai Trade Office in Abuja are committed to facilitate, assist and drive trade relations between Thailand and Nigeria for the benefits of the peoples of the two nations.
